Singing and Speaking from the Heart

2 years ago on Wednesday, April 9, my husband passed on Easter Sunday. We found out he had stage 4 cancer during a routine checkup 3 ½ weeks earlier. During the drive home, we were both crying and in shock and I was holding on to the idea that God would not take Tony away. Our 23rd anniversary was coming up on Maundy Thursday, and he had been in a literal way the guiding light of my life. We celebrated a little early; the picture is from that moment when, though his health had faded rapidly each day, we still held on to hope that the miracle we wanted would happen. For this remembrance of Tony Pryor, I decided to keep the written word short. Tony was a man who believed in the healing power of voice and so what better way to honor his beautiful life than to let him share that with his voice.

My husband, friend and teacher, I love you so very much.
